Equate Anti–Itch Cream- With summer being here the insects are out in full force. If mosquitoes, fleas and other insects are drawn to you like a bear is to honey then you will need something to stop the itch. Equate Anti–Itch Cream does a pretty good job at helping to stop the itch. It is said to work with poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac and is advertised as having the ability to dry up the fluid that comes from patches of poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac. I have not tried it for poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac.
Equate Anti–Itch Cream is a topical analgesic and skin protectant that contains Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 2% and zinc acetate. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride acts at the topical analgesic and zinc acetate acts as the skin protectant.
This product is equivalent to Benadryl itch cream and costs half as much because it’s marketed under the Equate product line at Wal-Mart.
This product does a pretty good job at stopping the itch and has very little odor. This product is not to be used on large patches of skin and should not be used if you take it any other form of Diphenhydramine.
