Any Given Sunday is a very entertaining film about a fictitious NFL franchise. I'm not sure how accurately it depicts the lives of the players, coaches and others in the organization, but the film's portrayal of the lifestyle was quite intriguing. Full of drugs, sex and parties, it's a wonder the guys could stay in the shape required to perform at the professional level week in and week out.
The business of football, cut throat nature of the business, was entertaining. The long-time star QB was injured and an up an comer got his chance. The process of changing starting QBs was very political and not as simple as it seems from the outside.
Also of interest, was the crooked orthopedist (team doc) that basically ignored serious test results that placed players at risk for severe injury in effort to keep them playing.
Again, not sure how realistic, but definitely entertaining. If the league is like this film, it must be a wild ride.
I'm a big NFL fan and found this film very entertaining as I often wonder what it must be like to live and work within the realm of professional sports.
