I just wanted to do this review, because I am happy with my iron, and so feel justified in writing about it. The Company is Morphy Richards, who have their own website of course :-

The company have been on the god for a lot of years now, and do a range of electrical items for the home. They have been making irons for many years. This particular model is a steam iron, (they actually call it TURBOSTEAM) and it has a non stick soleplate. It is easy to see how much water is in the tank, the handle is very comfortable, and the iron glides over clothes easily.

The mains lead is long enough, and does not tend to get twisted as long as you put it away properly. As for the looks of it, well, it looks sort of cool, obviously the design team were told to make it look modern, and they have done a good job. The thermostat is easy to alter, and the iron is heavy enough, but not too heavy. It is classed as a lightweight, but I think it is just right.

The element is 2000 Watts, and gets hot quickly. Mine is in blue & white, and I had no choice, the iron was on special offer at just £19.99, a bargain.

I find this iron is very easy to use, especially when using a decent table, I think ironing boards are the most useless piece or tat available, and have no idea why they are still used. They are flimsy, too small, and are usually made to be as cheap & nasty as the manufacturers can make them. Give me a good old fashioned sturdy table anyday.

I can recommend this iron to all, I feel it will become a design classic, watch this space.
