For just your basic MP3 player, I would definitely recommend getting a Ipod Nano. I have the 2GB size and that has been perfect for me so far. Eventually I'd like one with more memory, but this one is holding all my favorite songs nicely.
At first, I had no desire to get an ipod. I figured that if I wanted to listen to my music, I could put in one of the hundreds of CD's that I have. Boy was I wrong. After finally caving in a paying the high price for my Ipod, I began slowly loading songs on it. It was a little difficult at first to figure out how to transfer songs from all my cd's onto the ipod, but once I figured it out, it was easy, just time consuming. Now, I have all my favorite songs from all my cd's on this one small gadget and it's so cool!
I don't like the headphones that came with it because they are just basic earbuds, so I got me some nicer headphones. I also don't like how fingerprints collect and show up the ipod, but after finding a nice case, that solves that problem somewhat.
