The Apple iPhone
I bought this phone from the Apple store in Tysons Corner VA about 3 months ago. When the phone first came out, I was a little hesitant to buy one because of the hefty price tag. After my cell service contract expired, I decided I would get whatever phone I could for free, sell it, and put that money toward the iPhone. The phone retails for around $400, so be prepared to shell out a few bills. When I first got the phone I had to take it to Cingular where they had to 'up' my contract to include an unlimited data plan, that took a few minutes, but afterward, using the phone was no sweat. It comes with some software pre-installed on the iPhone like Google maps, youtube, ipod, a stock ticker search tool, weather application, calendar for scheduling, and iTunes. The user interface is very fluid and easy to use. I had no problem getting used to the keyboard window whenever I needed to type in a web address or a short email. Just don't expect to write a novel on this thing. The ipod feature of the phone is great for playing your music and such. The headphones that come packaged are ok too, nothing wrong with them. Setting up email accounts was a breeze, I use it frequently now. Syncing the phone to your desktop requires you to have itunes. Overall a great little gadget that is the perfect cure for boredom when you are waiting in line somewhere, or need to stay in touch with contacts while on the go. Make no mistake, this phone can be a toy, but also a business machine.
