I am a huge fan of Apple and their products, but I feel as if I've been taken for a sucker for buying the Apple Ipod Remote.

Their Ipods are truly innovative and incredible products, and I love my 30GB Video Ipod, but for some reason they don't include an FM radio feature on any of their Ipods. Its a truly basic function, and most other brands of Mp3 players come with it at most all price points.

Apple, however, wants $49.99 for their Ipod Radio Remote, which is the size of a quarter, looks exactly like an Ipod Shuffle, and plugs into any Ipod model(besides the Shuffle), to turn it into an FM radio. The display on the Ipod lights up like a radio dial, and you use the "remote" to control the volume, on/off, channel selection, etc. I have to say that yes, it does everything it's supposed to, and does it very well. The reception and sound quality are excellent. And it comes with the Apple brand earbuds, which are adequate, although you can use any set of headphones you wish.

My problem with it is that when it comes down to it - I paid $49.99 for an FM radio! I would have been better off buying the Sony Walkman AM/FM radio, which is the same size my video Ipod, and runs forever on one "AA" battery.

The bottom line is that while it is a nice product, it is way overpriced and a terrible value.
