February is not the time of year that I normally think about buying a new swimsuit for myself. But JCPenney was having their President's Day sale this week, and while I was shopping for the jeans that I wanted to buy on sale, I happened across their spring swimsuit display. In February?
I searched all last summer for a new swimsuit and I couldn't find anything in the styles that I liked. I took off my winter gloves and started searching through the swimsuit display at JCPenney, looking for my size, and willing to pay just about any price for a swimsuit style that I liked. I have very fond memories of the rainbow colored swimsuit that I had as a teenager, and when I found the Arizona Bright Stripe Banded Halter and Hipster in my size, I jumped on it. And it was on sale, too.
The Arizona Halter ties at the neck and back, and is fully lined with removable cups. The Arizona Hipster sits a little lower on my hips than my own modesty would prefer, but I do like having a tanned belly if I'm sunbathing. And it's easy enough for me to buy the more modest black Arizona Shorts to match with the Arizona Halter by shopping at JCPenney online. The swimsuit fits me well and is very comfortable to wear, but more importantly, I don't feel self-conscious and out of place when I'm wearing the Arizona Halter and Hipster because I found the colors and style that fit with my own summertime, funtime personality.
