The biggest concern that I have with the leather seats in my car is UV damage from the sun that would bleach out the color and crack the seats. So I kept my eye out for a leather cleaning product that specifically protected against sun damage. And I found Armor All Leather Protectant Gel at Giant Eagle, my local grocery store, for $9.99.
Armor All Leather Protectant Gel blocks the UV rays that are killers on your fabrics. It's a one-step leather cleaning and conditioning formula. I just applied it with a clean cloth and worked it into my leather. Although Armor All Leather Protectant Gel uses a non-greasy formula, it is a little wet if I've applied too much, so I had a second cloth on hand to wipe up any excess.
The scent of this formula is very pleasant, and I ended up using Armor All Leather Protectant Gel on my leather furniture in my house because I liked the smell of it, and it cleaned up my white leather chair beautifully. Armor All Leather Protectant Gel is also recommended for luggage and briefcases, but it was actually designed for the intense sun and heat conditions that car upholstery is subjected to. Although it doesn't promise to protect vinyl, Armor All Leather Protectant Gel is safe to use on vinyl if you're not sure what the fabric is.
