I've driven a lot of cars in my lifetime, but there are very few that actually stick in my mind more than the 1999 BMW 328i. This is the first car I ever bought (I used to lease BMWs) because I was so blown away by everything it had to offer. This baby will run on empty with no oil, coolant or any other fluid much longer than it should. Of all the cars i've ever driven, this one takes the cake for not only speed and acceleration, but also comfort. Inside the vehicle, you have to try pretty hard to hear anything on the outside world, including the road and the wind. After 10 years (I bought it the week it came out) it has needed some tuneups, but nothing I didn't bring on myself. As with any high-end car, you have to be pretty careful about where you bring it to be fixed, and some of the parts are a little expensive, because if you put in regular factory parts from ford or GM, this car will tank faster than you can say "crappy american car." After 10 years and a little body work to remove some rust, this car still gets an awful lot of wayward glances, especially from guys driving cars they thought were nice. Anyone who has ever owned a BMW will tell you, once you drive one, you'll wonder how you ever dealt with anything else.
