The title just cries out action in this book, doesn't it? It is intriguing from the start, and only gets better as you start reading it. This book is the 6th book in the Left Behind Series, written by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins. The series is Christian based, and follows the Revelations book in the Bible, although in my opinion, you do not need to be of Christian faith to enjoy these books immensely.

This series for me just continues to get better with each new book! The phrase printed on the cover of the book "Assassins" reads simply, "Assignment: Jerusalem, Target: Antichrist." This sums it up quite well- we find out small group of main characters, still lead for the most part by Rayford Steele, who plays a pivotal role in this book.

This book is another action-packed, edge of your seat thriller. I think part of the reason I liked this book so much is because it has a certain "good guy chasing down the bad guy" feel to it. The reader of course wants good to triumph over evil, but there are many setbacks that will leave you wondering how that will ever be possible. There is a high level of violence again in this book, and the death of a main character is quite shocking, and yet blended well into the plotline.

I would absolutely recommend reading this book; I personally suggest reading the series in order, but this is also a good stand alone book.
