These are medium-quality sheets sold under the Meijer brand. They are very comfortable, and are holding up well.

After our last sheet disaster, we needed to try again, and now we needed a complete set anyway. I just can’t afford the really high quality ones, although they do feel great. So when I found these at Meijer with a 300 thread count at a reasonable price, and in a color that I was happy with, I decided to get them and not wait for a sale. Even so, I only paid $29.99 for the full (standard double bed size) fitted and flat sheet and two pillowcases. It is labeled as being 100% cotton sateen.

The color is much better than it looks in the pictures. It is a soft blue green- bluer than mossy, but greener than aqua. They call it “River Blue.” The “sateen” label, I think, comes from the fact that it is slightly polished. Before they were washed they were quite shiny. After the first wash, not so much, but with the high thread count they are still very smooth and comfortable.

This fitted sheet has that style with the elastic all the way around, which I think is just plain weird. Maybe it is becoming the way sheets are made now, however. When we first put them on the bed the fitted sheet was a bit too big. It did shrink just a little in the first washing/drying, and fits quite nice now. The boxed sides are very deep. It says that it would fit up to a 17" deep mattress. Ours is only 7 inches, so we have to pull it down tight so that the corners fit into the fitted sheet “pockets.”

It comes in twin, full, queen and king sizes.

Hubby, who has no clue about these things, said, “These feel really nice.” How’s that for a testimonial?
