I alternate between loving and hating to buy a new house phone. Of course I am always excited to get something new but I hate the shopping part because I am so picky. I looked for a few weeks and even tried another phone before this one but I hated it. This model AT&T phone is just want I was wanting. This phone has two handsets with only one that has to plug into the phone jack. The other base just plugs into an electric outlet (to charge the phone). The features that I always look for in a phone and found in this model are: A headset jack (you would be surprised how many cordless phones don't have this), a mute button, intercom, speaker phone. I also like the fact that the flash button is just the phone button used to answer calls. One of the few things I took for granted was that with a set like this that when you cleared the caller id on one phone it cleared it on both. This is not always true. But on this model it does work that way. The intercom button allows you to call from handset to handset without using the phone line.

The only thing I don't like about this phone is that the main base is big. It is basically the same model as the one that comes with the answering machine but if you buy the model without the answering machine you still get the big base. It is just a big base.

I am very pleased with this phone and would highly recommend it.
