I am a runner and as a runner I get dry skin and chaffing on my inner thighs. I have always used aquaphor prior to running marathons to prevent this problem. It has always worked, but I pretty much only broke it out a few times a year.
I never thought of other uses for aquaphor until I had my dauighter and the pediatrician recommended using it to soothe and even prevent diaper rash. I hate the traditional creams and feel that they smell so harsh. This does not have a scent. I also like the fact that there are not any "extra" ingredients in aquaphor. It is a straightforward ointment that I can use on my little one. I even began using it on her face when her cheeks became chapped or her nose reddened from having a cold.
The only downside of this product is that it is so thick. It sort of sticks to your hands even after you wash it off. It is a little more expensive but you can have one tube of aquaphor for years.
