As an avid baseball fan, I collect items of my favorite teams and players. In 1999, my all-time favorite player was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. As I searched for souvenirs of this momentous occasion, I came across this bear. I loved it and had to have it.
This bear has the Hall of Fame log on the front, along with the year. The player's last name and number is stitched on the back, while the full name is stiched on one arm. The other arm has HOF stitched on it.
There is a tag of authenticity attached to one ear. The tag is autographed and numbered. This one is #62 of 500. For a collector, this would be a great item to have. I don't recall what I paid for this at the time, but for me, it was worth every penny.
If you or your loved one is a baseball fan and has a favorite player in the Hall of Fame, I recommend that you check the website for the Baseball Hall of Fame at http://web.baseballhalloffame.org/index.jsp. It's fascinating to see who and what is there. Better yet, make a trip to NY and see it in person. You can get your own bear or other items of your choice. It's a baseball lovers fantasy.
