This telephone is a great little novelty item that is also very functional. If you've ever seen the movie Juno, it is virtually identical to the hamburger phone in that movie. It looks like a slightly larger than normal cheeseburger. The top "bun" opens up on a hinge, and the dialpad is inside ontop of the "cheese". The speaker that goes up to your ear is on the underside of the top bun. It has the basic features of a corded telephone - dial pad, option of tone or pulse dialing, pound and star keys. It looks great and is defeintly an eye catcher and conversation peice. The only negative thing about this phone is the ringer. On the box it says the ringer volume can be adjusted with a switch to high or low volume, but no such switch exists. The ringer is quite loud and is a high pitched repetitive noise. It is very piercing and would be great in a high noise enviroment, but in a normal household or apartment, it can be very annoying. The option to lower the volume of this ring like the box has said was possible would be a much appreciated feature but overall the annoyance of the ring does not take away from the value of this great phone.
