I live in the Northeastern United States and it gets pretty cold around here in the winter. One of my favorite things to do in the winter is make hot chocolate at night snuggled up on the coach to watch my favorite shows. Each year I buy large tubs of cocoa mix and use my microwave to make it. This year at Christmas one of my cousins bought me something I had never seen before. It's a Cocoa-Latte Hot Drink Maker made by Back to Basics. The machine is small and compact measuring about 11 ½" tall by 6 ½" wide. It can easily be left out on your counter or stored away for occasional use. It is black and silver on the base with a 32 oz. clear mixing container on top. The cord stores away underneath. The mixing container is detachable for easy cleaning and pouring. It also has a dispensing valve that lifts up and down for easy dispensing. On one side of the machine is the on/off switch and on the other is a switch to make your drink frothy.
The drink mixer is simple to use. You just open the lid, add ingredients, and press the on button. It mixes your drink similar to a blender, but also heats it at the same time. When it reaches the perfect temperature it stops heating/mixing and goes idle. After it cools down the machine automatically kicks back on and reheats your drink. It will continue to cycle on and off until you turn it off manually. It comes with a GREAT recipe book too-I love the butterscotch milk-mmmm!
The only negative thing I could say is that it isn't dishwasher safe, but all the pieces come apart easily for a quick cleaning-well worth it.
