Over the past several years we have seen more and more of these little, destructible black beetles, or the Japanese Beetle. They can chew through and destroy most any living thing, I lost grapevines, willow trees, numerous rose bushes, okra, tomatoes, squash and more! It is amazing and scary how much they can destroy in such a short time.

I have tried Seven Dust, spray on insecticides, citronella and more but absolutely nothing works but these yellow bags. You can literally capture thousands in a bag. There is a hormone that you attach to the bag holder that draws them away from plant life to the bags, they end up falling in these bags.

Once these beetles fall into the bags they suffocate, when the bag is full you simply tie it up and throw it away and replace the bag with a new one. Trust me, these bags can become quite heavy when full and it does save your gardens!

You can hang them in trees, on a line or you can buy stands for the bags. After a week or so you will want to throw it away regardless if it is full because the dead and decaying beetles can become very odorous.
