When my father and mother moved into a new house many years ago, they found these, a pair of wooden Balinese lady in their abandoned stuffs. I was helping them moving at that time, and they offered me whether I wanted to have them or not. I was confused whether to take it or not, since I knew that these have been in my family's possession for long, and to be quite frankly, they are antique stuffs and therefore are very valuable. And I'm quite aware of the price that an antique stuff would value. Well, anyway, I took the offer and now it's in my possession. This comes in a pair, around 40 cm in height, and as you can see, every little detail is carved very carefully so it really makes the statue looks so much alive. The one that amazes me is the hair ornament. It's so detailed and gorgeous! Though this is a wooden antique, the wood material doesn't look rotten a bit. It still holds very firmly. I really admire the work of the craftsman. A real work of art, that's what it is. I put this to our living room cabinet (which now begins to be fully loaded with decorating stuffs lol...) and feel somewhat proud that my family's inheritance is around.
