I had been searching high and low for the perfect pair of ballet flats to call my own. Ballet shoes are just so versatile. They go great with skirts and dress pants, and they even dress up a pair of jeans. Being flat-bottomed is also a huge plus in my book. I can't stand wearing heels. More accurately, I can't stand IN them!

The problem I had shopping for these, was finding a pair that was dressy enough for my purpose. Most accessory shops are carrying them, but they are very casual-looking with rubber soles, laces, and even polka-dots! So I was very surprised to find the perfect pair at the jean's store, Bootlegger.

These shoes are made of a plastic material, that looks satiny on the outside. They are trimmed with velvet all around the tops, and have a dainty velvet bow to finish the look. I love how they add a classy, feminine touch to any outfit.

I have worn these for months on sunny days, rainy days, and even snowy days (I don't recommend the last one!), and they are still in great shape--something I didn't expect from such a cheep pair of shoes.

I'm delighted with my black ballet flats, and recommend that you give Bootlegger a try if you are searching for the perfect pair for yourself.

My only word of caution has to do with sizing. If you are between sizes, go for the larger pair. I was between sizes, but opted for the smaller ones because I expected them to stretch. Unfortunately (or fortunately), these shoes keep their shape very well, so mine are still a bit snug.
