If you're looking to go to Las Vegas and spend time in a hotel that won't bust your pocket book before you even get to Vegas but you don't want mice crawling around either, Bally's may be your place. My husband and some friends and I all went to Vegas in August 2007. It was about 115 degrees outside however inside our room was much, much warmer. Their air conditioning had gone out in our room. Trying to get it fixed was a nightmare. Once nightfall came, they offered to transfer us to another room. We were upset since we requested adjoining rooms, this would me not only would be have to pack everything up that we unpacked into our room and drag it all down the hall, we then can't even be next to our friends in the other room. It sucks. The agent at the front desk who was the manager on duty was rude, not helpful, not wanting to go out of his way to help us figure anything out. Nothing. He just wanted us to figure it out and hurry up doing so. That didn't help matters.
Needless to say, we all slept in one hotel room that night and THANK GOD I booked our room with a really good company because I called them the next morning and after they, too, went rounds with Bally's managers, they decided to move us to New York New York Hotel & Casino.
Bally's gets a total two thumbs down from me.
