My cousin was the gal who actually recommended Banana Boat Sunless Tanning products to me. Years earlier I vowed to never use Banana Boat Sunless Tanning products simply because I was transformed into an Oompa Loompa over night using their crap before.
My cousin though, swore that they changed the formula, and that they in fact make really effective sunless products. I figured her skin looked semi sun kissed, so I may as well try it out for size. Unfortunatley when faces with all of the different Banana Boat sunless tanninng lotions, I could not remember what the heck she had told me she was using.
I went ahead and choose what looked the newest, Banana Boat Sunless Summer Color Tinted Lotion, in Light to Medium.
Seeing how I managed to only get my legs and arms tanned I needed this lotion for my stomach and upper legs, and upper arms.
I applied a generous amount to my paler areas, and rubbed in until the lotion absorbed.....er.... well we ran into a bit of an issue when it came to absorbtion. There was none.
It left my skin feeling sticky, wet, and greasy. This sucked because I knew if I put clothes on it would stain them.
I instead put on an ugly pair of jammas I had, and hoped for the best. At least if it ruined this outfit it wouldnt be tragic.
None! I went about my day and found that I was not a tint darker, my pale skin was still very pale. So naturally, I applied more.
The next morning I awoke to not orange oompa skin, but instead my pale areas were covered with this sickly ugly yellow tinted color that looked like I had been punched. Yep, brusie yellow, and it was quite disgusting.
It smells bad, feels terrible on your skin, and dyes your paler areas antique yellow.
