We bought this ride-on Barbie ATV for my daughter for Christmas. She was just barely two years old at the time. I was so excited for her to open it and I envisioned her cruising down the sidewalk and all around the park, enjoying every minute. Christmas morning came and she opened it, excited to see a "bike." My husband put it together, which we didn't know we'd need to or he'd of done it ahead of time.
The assembly was quite easy and the step by step instructions were very easy to follow. It comes with a 6-volt rechargable battery, and a battery charger. The instructions say to charge the battery for 18-30 hours before use, another reason we should of opened the box before Christmas. However there was enough juice in it for a test ride before charging up the battery. It also has a built in cup holder and a very small, I mean very small, covered storage space.
It is very easy to use, the child just gets on and pushes a button next to the hand grip and it goes. Once my daughter got on and pushed the button she wanted nothing to do with it. It's not loud, but it scared her. I've seen other kids her age riding these kinds of toys so I just think she wasn't sure about it at first. I'm happy to say that eventually she did warm up to it and now enjoys riding it. It's fun to take for walks around the block and even to the park. I would recommend the Barbie ATV to any parent looking for a fun and safe ride-on toy for their child.
A few other tid-bits: it comes with a six month warranty on the battery and a one year warranty from the date of purchase, the weight limit is a maximim of 40 pounds, the age range is 12 months to three years, and you should use caution using the ATV inside as it may damage certain types of flooring (we had very minor marks on our hardwood floors).
