Bare Escentuals cosmetics are famous as the first make-up line to use pure minerals in their make-up, from concealer to finishing powder. The Lip Guards lip glosses are also mineral-based, and they also protect your lips when you're having fun in the sun, with a natural 15 SPF sunscreen.
The Lip Guards are shown in the BE catalog and on Sephora as coming in only two sheer colors: Stinson Beach and Miami Beach. Other colors appear in special sets shown on QVC, as my own Lip Guard, Tropical Beach, did. These sheer colors contain natural ingredients like grape seed oil, aloe vera, and shea butter, along with vitamins including A, C, and E, all anti-oxidants. This gloss looks great, is long-lasting, moisturizing, and protecting. And all the colors look great on everybody. What more could you ask for in a lip gloss?
Although the price of $14 may seem a bit high, compared to drugstore glosses for $6 and less, in this case it really is worth the price. The 0.5 oz of gloss will last a long time, and color, protect, and improve the smoothness and softness of your lips while you wear it. I give it 5 stars, and would give it more if I could!
