Ahh. That first cup of morning coffee! The beauty of the Barista French Press is that it only takes two minutes longer than it takes to boil water to make the perfect cup! All you do is put your water on to boil, add two or three scoops of (good) coffee to the French Press, and, when the water is hot, pour it over the ground coffee and let it stand for two minutes. Now Press. (Explanation following)
A french press coffee pot has a plunger with a fine screen. As you slowly press your coffee grounds to the bottom of the pot, the coffee flavor is released and produces a wonderfully robust, yet never bitter, cup.
Since we started using this French Press style coffee make, we will never go back to drip. The pot is lovely, being made of polished stainless steel. The very best part, though, is that it keeps your coffee hot for up to two hours - not that it will last that long being as delicious as it is!
We got our pot on eBay, but it is also available at the Starbucks website here
