The older I get, the more I am into comfort. As part of my everyday basic wardrobe, I like to include Basic Editions Knit Pants. My favorite style is the relaxed fit, which sits at the natural waist (yes, mom pants-lol.) But I always wear a T-shirt or top over the waist, so it never shows. These pants are great for running errands, hanging around the house, or casual activities.
While I don't like them as much as my White Stag basic knit pants, you really can't lose at $9.99 a pair. They look great dressed down with T-shirts, but they can also be dressed up with a Chico jacket or dressier top. I often work in my collectibles booth at the indoor flea market, and that involves a lot of dusting, vacuuming, and crawling around rearranging items, so these stretch knit pants are certainly comfortable for that. (Much more comfortable than jeans for sure!) They have a rather flat pocket on each side, and are not bulky. The look is a slim fit.
The negative is that they are made of 100% cotton, and they sometimes shrink in the length. I avoid this by machine washing in cold water, and then hanging to dry. They do not need ironing and are ready to go when dry. While these are not as durable as nicer knit pants, they are great for the everyday activities of life. And with a price like that, you really can't go wrong.
