The reason to buy Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy body lotion is for the aromatherapy effects. My first experience with this product was a free sample while staying at a Marriot hotel. After one application, I knew I was going to want more of this. The orange ginger fragrance is fantastic. The bright, citrus scent is classified as "energizing", and it definitely does wake up the senses. Over time, I find it also becomes soothing, a pleasant scent to envelop you right before you go to sleep.
The lotion is a heavier consistency and leaves just a bit of a slippery feeling on your hands. It absorbs quickly and gives skin a nice smooth finish. It lasts several hours and doesn't require a lot of reapplication.
As far as a moisturizer, I felt it was fine as a temporary skin softener, but didn't feel it provided any long-term effects. It's more of a fragrance product and doesn't offer any real healing benefits for super dry skin.
As with many Bath & Body Works products, it's expensive, so I recommend waiting for a sale if you can. Bath & Body Works often has good deals if you buy more than one in a product line, and their website also offers a lot of sales and freebies if you sign up for email notices.
As an aromatherapy product, this one is a real gem. It has a powerful, pleasant, long-lasting fragrance that you can easily become addicted to. Inhale and enjoy!
