At the end of the day, a nice hot bath is great for tension and aching muscles. A nice addition to a warm bath is a couple of handfuls of scented bath salts. Bath salts can help to melt away the stress, and this tropical fragrance is just heavenly. It's a great method of aroma therapy. Bath salts can also help to reduce muscle pain, stimulate blood circulation, and soften the skin. They're great for soaking tired feet, and for getting rid of bacteria on the skin. For sports injuries, or arthritis, bath salts can ease stiffness and soreness.
Bath salts are much healthier than bubble bath powders or liquids. And even though they are salts, they soften the skin, instead of drying it out. Bath salts will soothe irritations from insect bites, or skin inflammation.
Sometimes I will take a hot bath just before bed, and add some of these bath salts, and it makes me feel so relaxed and refreshed. The lovely fragrance is a combination of citrus and coconut, which reminds me of a tropical South Sea island.
Remember to add bath salts to the bath, as the tub is being filled, so that they will properly dissolve. Then relax and enjoy your bath!
