Before going down to London last December, I did some homework to find a good accommodation online. Somebody told me Malaysian Hall in London is cheap but on checking their website, I found that it is
- not that cheap
- quite out of place
- got curfew at night
-man and woman will be put in different hostel and I will feel scared to be separated from my husband
since is this the first trip to London.
- need to supply them with our passport numbers which I am not too comfortable to do so.
Further surfing, I found this Piccadilly backpackers which
-is very central, right next to Piccadilly tube station
-cheap and can stay 3 nights for the price of 2 and it costs us GBP 32 pp for 3 nights stay.
The rooms are small since space is so precious in London. Our room has 2 double bunk beds which sleep 4. The room is okay and warm during winter. The common showers and toilets outside are very sparklingly cleaned every day. There is also an internet cafe in the hostel but I did not try it beacuse it costs GBP 1.50 per hour which converts to RM 10.50 per hour in my currency which is way too expensive!!
Cons: The only cons is be very prepared tp sleep with strangers who can come into your room at the middle of the night as it sleeps four in the room. That is exactly what we get during our first night there. Moreover she is a great snorer too, waking us up in the middle of the night with her checking in and then hearing her snoring all the night through.
