My family and I went to Negril Jamaica for a friends wedding. We did not stay at the beaches resort because the pricing was so high but opted to stay at a different resort and go to the Beaches resort on a day pass the day of the wedding.
I have to say that we were very disappointed in the resort. We paid $600.00 for a day pass at the resort for 2 adults and 2 children. Our friends were there getting married and their room was not great. The mini fridge had rust in it and did not seem to really cool much at all. Their bathroom almost bordered on disgusting and the furnishings were very 'used'. I know it's a resort but come on the furnishings were not even nice looking.
The pools at the resort were small in my opinion and not very big. they did have a water slide for the kids but again not what it was hyped up to be. The best part about the resort was the beach. The beach was nice and flat and quite big.
They did do a very good job on the wedding but our friends were very disappointed in the actual resort too. They spent well over $6000.00 and didn't get near what we got at the resort we stayed at for right at $3000.00.
In my opinion, Beaches resorts aren't all that the advertisements try to make them be. We preferred staying at the RIU in Negril.
