I received this beautiful 4 piece set of cups and saucers from my sister in law recently. As a lover of Polish Pottery, she knows it will not be difficult to please me.
This yellow pansies design is a first for me and it's also a first for a set of cups with matching saucers. So far I have always purchased mugs but I love this new edition to my tableware.
There are 5 major Polish Pottery factories. This set was produced by WR Ceramika in Poland and has the logo from the factory at the bottom of each piece. The pattern type is called Signature Unikat and the pattern # is EZ2. The cups each hold 7 oz. of liquid. I like that they look very dainty and delicate but yet they are sturdy, microwave safe and can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
I hope the bright yellow and blue colors from the pansies and swirly designs show through in my pictures, they are just amazing. You can also spot the teapot I received last year from the same dear sister in law. Although they are different designs it really doesn't matter.
I always remember cups and saucers as something my mother always served tea or coffee in. She never served anything in a mug like I tend to do these days (less dishes to wash I guess). I'm so happy with this set I will be adding to it and if anyone is interested please check out www.polishpotteryhouse.com as this is where my set came from.
