When we first bought our house four years ago, we knew it needed work. The basement was blood red cement, the kitchen was mustard yellow, the bedrooms were brown and avocado. (No offense to anyone who likes these colors!) We didn't have a lot of money for redecorating, but we needed a good paint that would withstand small children and pets. Someone suggested Behr Premium Plus, and we are so happy they did!
We started in the kitchen, and discovered that it covered the yellow very well with only one coat. Also, it washed extremely well, since I washed the walls often to get the greasy residue off. So, we tried it in the living room next. So far we have been able to wash off crayon, pen, and dirt from the cat rubbing on the corners of the walls! We have since painted every room in the house with this paint.
We were even able to cover the basement paneling and the concrete with this same paint, with fantastic results! We were even able to cover over the black paint that was once on my teenager's walls during her Gothic phase, with no problem whatsoever. Often one coat is all that is needed, since the coverage is nice and thick. We've had people ask if we had the painting done professionally!
My only gripe about this paint is that the colors tend to come out a bit lighter than the paint samples, so just bear (Behr?) that in mind when choosing a color.
So if you need a quick and cheap way to redecorate or liven up a room, this paint is the way to go!
