Bernard Jensen Liquid Chlorophyll

While searching for a brand of liquid chlorophyll to add to my supplement regimen, I ordered a trial of Bernard Jensen's Liquid Chlorophyll. I wanted to see if it was effective, tasted good, and worked into my daily routine.

As I mentioned in "Liquid Chlorophyll the Ultimate Supplement for Health, " chlorophyll naturally occurs in plants to feed growth through photosynthesis. Chlorophyll is consumed by eating fresh uncooked vegetables, or by supplement. Though I am not a doctor, the research I have read states that many health benefits can be achieved by taking liquid chlorophyll: improved blood cell function and production, liver function, cardiac health, lung health, intestinal health, tissue and wound healing, and it helps reduce body and mouth odor. You may want to consult with your doctor before taking this, or any other, supplement.

My bottle of Bernard Jensen's brand arrived just as we finished Chlorofresh, another brand we tried. I am glad I only ordered the 4 oz size as a trial. I did not feel Jensen's brand worked as well as Chlorofresh, or Now my preferred brand. (If you are interested in trying liquid chlorophyll, 8 oz is the standard size you will find in health food stores. Depending on the dosing of the product, and how many in the household are taking it, you may manage a month of dosing. You can find smaller trial sizes online.)

Supplement Information:

Dosage 1 tbsp daily

Sodium 120 mg

Chlorophyllins 70 mg (chlorophyll in copper complex)

Extracted from Medicago Sativa Alfalfa leaves

Though I like the once daily dosage of Bernard Jensen's Liquid Chlorophyll, I feel that it is not as refreshing as Chlorofresh, nor does it have the smooth mint taste of Now. The flavor is quite salty with only a hint of mint. I assume this is because it has 120 mg of Sodium. My husband says he did not mind the salty taste when he doused it down with water. I take mine al fresco; I can attest that it tastes almost like seawater. Bernard Jensen's brand was much smoother than Chlorofresh, which was gritty, but it was not as thick as Now.

I will not order another bottle of Bernard Jensen's Liquid Chlorophyll. This brand did not give me the same results I achieved with the other brands I have tried. Essentially, I did not experience the same regularity, or overall feeling of well-being. I also feel there is too much sodium added to this product. I do not recommend this brand of liquid chlorophyll.
