It's quite comfortable, although it is a bit bulky (I was surprised at this, as it doesn't look at all like it had bulk in the photo), but that is due to the comfortable padding, so I think it's a fine trade-off. I wear it for arthritis in my thumb joints. It does exactly what it's supposed to do... Support the thumb and keep it from moving without compromising the rest of the fingers. It also prevents wrist movement.
One thing I do not like: It's supposed to be for either thumb. However, I found that the feel is not the same for both thumbs. It fits (and the material is cut exactly correctly for) the right hand wonderfully, but a bit strange on the left, due to the cut of the material. It doesn't feel as good on the left as it does the right, does not seem to conform as well. However, it still works and this may just be something most will not have problems with. I mention it just in case it's not only me.
It is the most comfortable of all the thumb splints I have tried. It relieves my pain very well and allows for swelling. Unlike many splints and braces for various parts of the body, I find that the material seems to whisk sweat away to where I haven't ever noticed sweating under the splint, even after wearing all day.
I give a big "thumbs up" for this splint.
