Beth Nielsen Chapman's album "Sand and Water" is truly an emotional album that will be able to relate to anyone and make a place in their heart. Beth Nielsen Chapman's voice is not smooth or angelic in nature; it can be best described as ‘girl next door' quality. "Sand and Water" describes the album to a tee as she speaks of the correlation between emotions and beach elements. The flow between songs on this album is pretty solid and never really shies away from the same instrumental layout. You may even say that this album seems a bit sad, if not for the one or two upbeat songs, the album does really seem to lack color and just show shades of gray.

"Sand and Water" has ten tracks:

"The Color of Roses""Beyond the Blue""All the Time in the World""Sand and Water""Fair Enough""Seven Shades of Blue""Happy Girl""No One Knows But You""Heads Up For the Wrecking Ball""Say Goodnight"Of these ten songs, "Say Goodnight" has to be my favorite, and one that is a definite tear jerker! Keep the box of tissues handy for this album!

All and all, if you are looking for that particular album that is not really of the happy context and is steady, soft, and slow, this is the album for you! I purchased the album at Best buy for $14.
