I received this the other day in a box of goodies from a friend. This is the first MAC postcard I've owned. I love this one! It's from the recent collection: Make-Up Art Cosmetics (Fall 2009). This collection features products inspired by three artists: Richard Phillips who is a painter, Marilyn Minter who is a photographer and Maira Kalman who is an illustrator. Each card has a photograph of the artist's work.
Although my friend didn't know, I have a certain fondness of photography. The card I got had Minter's photo on the cover. This photograph is really beautiful. There is this magenta eyeshadow with glitter on a woman's lid all the way up to her brows. Her eye is closed and you can see her very long lashes. She looks like she got all wet. As if she was playing in a sprinkler with all her makeup on. Her dark hair glistens with what looks like water droplets and glitter.
There is a space for a stamp on the back. I received it in a box with stuff, so my friend didn't send it to me through the mail, but, I assume you can send these. It measures 7" tall by 5" across. The paper it's printed on is matte and a little flimsy, but it's fine. I'm leaving it on my desk to add some glamour to the area, so I don't need it to be super durable. Also, the gorgeous print really jumps off the paper. The colors are so vibrant!
