Truth be told, for most of my life, I never felt I needed a designated facial moisturizer. My skin was dry all over, so I just slathered my regular body lotion all over, and this seemed to work fine. When I turned 30, however, my once matte skin became an oily mess. I broke out worse than a teenager, and I had to continually blot my face to remove oil. Worse, I started noticing large pores, especially around my nose area.
I tried several different cosmetic lines until I noticed Biore products on the drugstore shelves. The price was right, so I gave them a try...and I couldn't be happier!
The first product I bought was Biore's Pore Minimizing Lightweight Moisturizer with SPF 15, which is oil-free and supposed to minimize pores and smooth skin. I apply a small amount every morning before I put my makeup on; it absorbs quickly and leaves no residue. While I still do need an occasional oil blotting sheet or two throughout the day, my skin definitely stays more matte with the moisturizer applied than without. It also does seem to noticeably reduce the look of my pores when applied.
I am very impressed that such a product exists for under $12. If you have oily skin that is prone to breakouts, I definitely recommend giving the Biore products a try!
