It picked up dog hair off of the carpet really well, probably better than any other vacuum I have ever owned. However, the vacuum always emitted a strange burning smell, even during the very first use.

The Bissell Powerforce is fairly lightweight and comes with an assortment of attachments that are practical to use. This vacuum is also bagless, so it was great for pet hair.
