I bought these butterfly wings for the daughter of my mother-in-law's housekeeper, who had been selected as one of the dancers in a Christmas mini opera held by her school last Christmas. In fact, these wings were offered by one of her teachers (maybe she made these herself, I don't know), and one requirement after being selected as the dancer for the mini opera was to have wings when performing and since they didn't provide them, the selected students should buy their own wings. Thank God her teacher offered us these, because we had been trying to look for these wings everywhere in town (we all love this girl, though she is only a housekeeper's daughter, as she is so sweet and nice girl).
These wings are in very good made. I think they are handmade, and the main material for the wings is black soft translucent fabric, supported by a strong wire along side the edge of the wings. We don't like the black wings idea, actually, but since this was the only color available, there was nothing we could do. I tried to decorate it with beads, but it seemed that I didn't have much time to do that because we bought it at the very last day before her performance (it was a day before the performance day!. The wings come with a pair of strap to be put on the shoulders. Overall, these are simple wings, but when she wore these on her performance I knew she would look great with them. Too bad I couldn't be there to watch her dance with these.
