I recently upgraded to a blackberry curve 8900 and it was the best thing I could ever do because I was able now to access all my email and messaging and have Wi-Fi connectivity for Web browsing and a better camera. The phone comes with a 3.2-megapixel digital camera with flash and video capture this came in handy when my little brother graduated from High School this year because we were in 400 level bleacher seats that were equivalent to sitting in the 300 level at Yankee Stadium and I was able to zoom all the way in on him and still have very clear pictures and I was very excited about this because my old phone did not have that feature. It also comes with Bluetooth for hands free communication, and a MicroSD memory expansion up to 16 GB.
I got lured originally into purchasing this phone because I travel a lot and needed a phone that can be both a modem for my laptop and operate independently of it I got tired of being laid off in airports with high rates for internet. It took me awhile to learn how to connect it to my laptop as a modem for the internet which is not explained very well in the manual. But on the plus side this phone has GPS Maps which I have used on more than one occasion which came in very handy when traveling. My only negative with this phone is that when left without charging even though they tell you up to 5.5 hours of talk time, up to 360 hours (15 days) of standby time I can only get at most 2 to 3 days without too much talking just letting the phone alone before the phone is done and needs to be recharged. The neat part about this phone is that you get desktop quality WebPages online because the phone has a real browser and loads the pages just like the computer.
When you purchase it comes with a handset, rechargeable battery, charger, stereo headphones, 256 MB MicroSD card. Overall this phone on a scale of 1 to 10 gets a 8 from me mainly because I felt now after having it for some time I would have liked for the connection online to be faster when processing WebPages and downloads and when shutting down the phone and starting up.
