My family went to Blizzard beach the past 2 years and loved it. I have a 7 and 10 year old boys my husband and I. We stayed at a Disney resort so we were able to take the bus transportion from the resort to blizzard beach. The park is set up like a ski resort with "snow" everywhere with snowmen and snow castles great for pictures to use for your x-mas cards.
When you go in we went to the gift shop and got a locker we got a small one it was $10.00 but at the end of the day when you return the key you got $5.00 back the small one was big enough for our backpack and shoes. The key I just looped around my bathing suit strap and had no problem. You can take you own food in, or they have picnic areas all over the park we did not, we ate at the park. Thier are alot of restraunts to choose from and the price was not to bad.
Now for the rides, my youngest 7 was able to ride everything the tallest height was 48" and he just made it! There is a kids section for younger children with slides and a water play area my kids were to tall you have to be under 48" but I did see some older-taller lookig kids playing. The water slides were a blast, some of them you are on a raft others you go down on your butt or lay on your back. On of the slides if you are wearing water shoes you have to take them off and hold them as you go down I belive it was the one you go down on you back. We all loved the family raft slide, your family goes in this big round raft and go down a windy hill. They also have a lazy river that goes all the way around the park you just float around on a raft. The only thing that got to me and my husband is all the up hill walking to get to the top of the rides, they do have a ski lift that will take you up there but the line was always long, by time you stand in line you could of walk up! There was plenty of staff members and life guards in all the areas. This park is alot of fun for kids and adults if you are the area a must do!
