For years I have been a fan of Bob Timberlake furniture. I love the distressed finish look and high quality craftsmanship. There are other companies that have similar looking furniture, but most of it has been copycat furniture that's lacking in quality.
This cute little chest is one of my favorite pieces. I spotted it in a furniture store and fell in love with it. I knew I could find a place for it somewhere. It has been used in different places for different things, depending on where I was living. Sometimes it's more decorative with flowers or pictures on top. Other times, like now, it is sitting beside my chair with a lamp on it. It's smaller than a typical end table, but it works fine.
The dimensions are 21"w x 21"h x 14"d. The lid lifts up to expose a wonderful compartment for storing spare blankets or anything you choose. There is a drawer at the bottom of one side and handles on each side. The finish is distressed cherry. The Bob Timberlake line is well made. You won't find staples holding it together.
Bob Timberlake has been part of the Lexington company for many years. I can't find it in the local stores anymore. Most of them now carry outrageously expensive fancy furniture that I don't like or poorly made furniture that won't hold up over the years. I've bought the cheaply made stuff in the past and finally realized it was better to save and get something that will last.
I'm very happy with this little chest. It's cute, yet not girly and I love that it it has storage.
