I was really excited when I got my sample of Bodycology items from Walmart.com. The 3-pack sampler included Bodycology Anti-Bacterial Soap Brown Sugar Vanilla, as well as a body lotion and body mist in the same scent. I hadn't tried Bodycology before and the scent Brown Sugar Vanilla really appealed to me. I really liked how each sample looked like a product bottle.
The soap had very good foaming action. In the soap, there were tiny scratchy beads to exfoliate. The appearance of the soap itself reminded me of Bath and Body Works anti-bacterial products While I washed, the beads felt slightly annoying rather than therapeutic or pleasurable. After I used the soap when my hands were dry, I expanded and constricted my hands, they felt tight and dry on palms, while the tops of hands feel smooth. I definitely needed a hand cream after the soap because of how my hands felt.
Regarding the scent: When I first started sudsing up, I thought it smelled like rubbing alcohol and brown sugar and vanilla. After I toweled my hands off, that alcohol-scent was gone and a long lasting brown sugar vanilla fragrance was left on my hands. The smell lingered for hours.
Cosmetics Removal: I did not use this to remove cosmetics. I would never use this on my face, but I would imagine it would remove cosmetics well which is why I rated it a 5.
Applicator: On my sample, there was no applicator. I just snipped off the top.
