This gel is a very effective natural remedy for scratches, minor cuts, burns, and skin irritation. It contains calendula (Calendula Officinalis), also known as Marigold - a flower I actually used to have in my garden. I knew that calendula has strong soothing and healing powers, so I was very pleased to have come across this gel and had no doubts that it would work very well. I was not disappointed. When I had burned my arm making grilled burgers, I thought it would take at least a couple of weeks to heal; I kept treating it with this Calendula gel three times a day, and the burn was gone on day 5. There was no scarring left.
We have used this gel on cat scratches, cooking burns, sunburns, and bruises, although the latter is not included in the description. Most injuries are completely gone after 4-5 days. The important thing is to have the injured area cleaned and dried, at least as best as possible, before applying the gel. The gel is very gentle, it does not sting; it is not sticky or greasy, either.
The gel comes in a 2.5 oz tube. It should be applied in a thin layer 3 times a day.
