I just finished reading 'The Weekend Was Murder'. It is about a teenage girl named Mary Elizabeth who works at a Hotel in the Health Club over the summer. She discovers a real murder during a fun Mystery weekend at the Hotel where a famous mystery writer comes with a few actors to enact a murder mystery for it's one hundred and fifty guests. The Plot doesn't have much to it but it does keep you guessing till the end. The Characters are fun and everyone I know who has read it can relate to them in some way. I would recommend it to teens and young adults who enjoy to read short but fun filled things, the characters are all easy to understand. I never got bored while reading this, sometime when reading a book I skip lots of things, this one I never had to it kept a good pace and I was reading the whole time. Joan Lowery Dixon know how people can react to certian situations and does a great job at putting them all into words, it's easy to understand and it's not for younger children. This is one murder mystery that you should put on your reading list.
