When I replaced my dishwasher in 2002 I decided to get a Bosch because I had heard such wonderful things about them. True it has a nice stainless steel interior which five years later still looks great. True it is a lot quieter than my former dishwasher. True it does a good job of getting the dishes clean. But it has been expensive to maintain. This model has an electronics board that is flaky. The relays sometimes do not work properly so the machine does not cycle into its final rinse and shut off. When a repair was done shortly after the warranty ran out, it was recommended that the relay be resoldered because a replacement board was likely to present the same problems. We have given up on having the board resoldered. This is a chronic problem and at this time we just manually stop the machine and put it on "rinse and hold" to get the final rinse to happen. Although overall the dishwasher does a good job and has positive attributes, it was an expensive piece of equipment to start with and it is too expensive to keep functioning properly.
