As I write this review I am listing to Money by Pink Floyd and the quality is akin to wearing a quality pair of head phones you can tell very clearly which sounds are coming from the left side and which are coming from the left hand and right hand sides and each the base notes are pure and clear. when the base is turned up all the way on the main speaker consul you can almost feel the room shaking. these speakers are great at any sound level i.e. they do not lose quality at high or low volumes as some speakers do. I love how there is an audio in connection so I can plug my iPod in and play off that if I do no want to boot up my computer the part of the speakers that allows me to do this is one of my favorite things about them. This part is a small cylinder about 2" across and 1" deep it allows you to adjust the speakers volume, plug in head phones and play your iPod. These speakers have served me very well for about a year now and show no signs of slowing down. I recommend them to any audiophile. Just make sure to have an open USB slot for these speakers since they have no audio jack. One other down side to the speakers, in addition to the lack of audio cord is the size of the base it is pretty large and to achieve unhindered sound it has to be clear of obstructions meaning that it can't be placed at your feet. Other than those two small flaws I would definitely recommend it .
