It was time to buy my son a new winter coat, so we headed to Kohl's to scout for options. We found this great, sporty jacket, which is actually 3 jackets in one. There is the weather-resistant outer shell with the removable hood. This can be worn alone or with its zip-in fleece liner, which can also be worn by itself. Options? LOVE 'em! So far, so good.

My son tried the jacket on, admiring all the various pockets -- 8 in all! -- and the music portal which is made to safely house an MP3 player. Together, we noted that the fill of the jacket was polyfill, not down. Another bonus, since we are an entire family of people who are allergic to down. Finally, both components of the jacket are machine washable. This is an absolute must, since I refuse to by dry-clean only outerwear for a person who collects rocks and small creatures in his pockets.

We were good to go with this option, until I saw the price....$110!!!!! Youch! I didn't pay that much for my own winter coat....and mine is from L.L. Bean! Luckily for us, Kohl's was running a 50% off sale on all outerwear. When I added my 15% off coupon which I earn by keeping a Kohl's charge account, the final price of this jacket was $46.75. Now THAT'S a great deal!

My son says this jacket is comfortable and easy to wear. Since it's mostly dark blue, I have only had to wash it once since we bought it, but it came out of the clothes dryer looking great. I'm quite happy with this purchase, and would recommend this brand without hesitation.
