As a keen runner I was thrilled to receive a Polar F11M Fitness Watch for Christmas, and had it not have been for the cold weather and excessive Christmas dinner I would I have gone running with it the following morning! I was particularly pleased with receiving this product because I would have never purchased it due to the cost, and would have settled on a standard running watch for a fraction of the price. The Polar F11M is very sophisticated and I think Polar had the serious runner in mind when they designed it.
The first thing I like about this watch is the design. I love the big screen which displays a lot of information yet remains clearly legible and well spaced (which really helps as you would be surprised at how hard it is to read a digital watch whilst running!). I like the design so much that I tend to also use it as a casual watch that I wear on the weekends.
But what really makes this product special is the range of features on offer. If you are like me then you will find it hard to remain motivated when you are not seeing many results. This watch can track just about every aspect of your run and fitness level from your heartbeat, to duration and calorie consumption; all of which help you to chart your progress, which I do on a weekly basis. What would really top it off would be a built-in MP3 player, but I guess that would be asking for a little bit too much!
I have not yet finished playing about this product but so far it has been very straightforward to programme the time, date, and my vital statistics (height, weight, etc). I will probably never get maximum value out of this product due to the sheer range of features on offer, but I am definitely pleased that I have it. I have already noticed an improvement in my fitness simply because I can monitor my progress more closely, which really helps me stay focussed. If you are a serious runner, or serious about getting into shape, then this watch might help you stay motivated and achieve your running or general fitness goals quicker.
