The Brooks Radius is the shoe of choice for my husband; I bought him his first pair about 2 years ago, and he won't wear any other sneaker since that time.
Brooks is well known for their heavy-duty motion control shoes, but the Radius is listed as a cushion shoe. It does a have a slight bit of arch support in the form of an "arch pod, " placed where your natural arch would be. My husband said it is not noticable in the least, and he feels like it gives him a little more support.
Cushion shoes are generally made for runners with high arches or very neutral gait patterns, and this is where my husbands fits in. The problem he has with most cushion shoes, though, is that they are too soft and flexible for him....at 6'3" and about 215 pounds, he is not the typical runner build. That is why he likes the Brooks Radius so much- the last of the shoe is much more rigid than other brands, so they last longer for him before breaking down.
The Brooks Radius has wide mesh on the upper, which my husbands likes to keep his feet cooler, but in my opinion it makes them very difficult to clean. The design is pretty simple in my opinion; not quite as "loud" as other companies- they tend to stick with more neutral colors, but my husband typically buys more conservative colors anyway, so that works for him.
The durability of the Brooks has been great so far; they hold up to everyday coaching activities very well, and besides getting dirty, show no signs of wear. We have found that this style runs pretty true to size. So, it looks like as long as Brooks continues to make the Radius, buying shoes for my husband will be an easy task!
