Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia is consistently voted one of the most beautiful theme parks in America. If you ever get the chance to visit, I think you will agree. The park is set up as different countries that make up the "Old Country", England, Scotland, Germany, Italy, Ireland and France. Each country has beautiful gardens and pays extreme attention to detail in terms of architecture and although the food is a little more generic than I would like, it is country specific enough to have a wide variety of selections between the various counter service restaurants, while pleasing American palates as well. Busch Gardens has done a good job keeping people coming in the door by showcasing artist from the countries represented in the parks, as well as bringing in new attractions. Their newest rollercoaster, a free fall experience named Gryffin, has me excited to make a trip next summer. They also do special Halloween events called "Howl-o-Scream" which is fun for adults and children alike.
For an adult only experience, sign up for the Brewmasters club, a free experience to those 21 and up. You go into a pub located behind closed doors in either Ireland or Germany, and Anhauser Busch Representatives take you through a taste tour and food paring of various Anhauser-Busch products. It is a great break from the heat and the lines. Couple Busch Gardens with nearby Water Country USA and historic Colonial Williamsburg, and you've got yourself one great family vacation.
